Beware drowning risk due to vandalism

There has been yet another issues or vandalism near Summers Park, this time the fence round the pond has been damaged sometime last night. We have had the area taped off as the fence needs to be fixed. Please make sure any children playing or going to school near the pond are aware of the danger as we can’t get the fence properly secured for a couple of days.

Unfortunately the vandalism in the area has increased over recent weeks, it’s sad that the actions of a mindless few are taking away the enjoyment of these areas for others. Also the cost of repair and replacing damaged equipment, cleaning graffiti etc is taking away funds that would far better being spent on new play equipment or other facilities for us all.
